AcupunctureAcupuncture is the insertion and manipulation of thin solid needles. They can function to reduce pain, release tension or balance internal function.
Acupuncture is but one of several modalities utilized during an Oriental Medicine treatment. The history of this medicine extends thousands of years into the past and is applicable to most maladies. |
Herbal MedicineOriental Herbal Medicine goes hand in hand with Acupuncture in order to providing a comprehensive wellness program.
There are many herbs that you may already know of as food, like lamb, ginger or yams. Others may be foreign to you. All work together in many ways to assist in treating a specific diagnosis. Special care is taken to ensure that herbal prescriptions will not interact adversely with your existing diet and complimentary treatment plans. |
MeditationMeditation is utilized by billions toward many different goals: stress reduction, goal visualization, enhancing performance, as well as other more ethereal aspirations.
Conor Logan L.Ac. has led both individuals and groups in understanding and building their meditative abilities. He records and releases meditation tracks that can be used at your convenience. Meditation is key to The Living Point’s treatment methodology. The body and mind are always considered one integrated system. |

Cupping
Cupping can be thought of as a massage 'from the inside out.' By pulling less oxygenated blood to the surface (as a bruise that fades quickly) the body is kick-started to move oxygen-filled blood to those muscles. This speeds along recovery and facilitates pain relief.
While an excellent form of pain management, cupping can also be helpful in energy balance, stress relief and fertility. |
Tui Na MassageTui Na is a form of Chinese medical massage. In Oriental Medicine, it is used alongside other treatment methods to bring the body into proper alignment.
Pressure may be feather-light or quite firm, depending on the diagnosis and treatment plan. Tui Na typically would not be the only treatment method used during a session. |
